Volkswagen Canada received two awards from AJAC
Volkswagen Canada is very happy to proclaim that the Automotive Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC) has presented Volkswagen with two awards at their 2007 AJAC Car of the Year award rite.
- 2007 Volkswagen Rabbit 2.5 received the prize for the “BEST NEW SMALL CAR OVER $18,000″. The Rabbit beaten the Dodge Caliber, Hyundai Elantra, Nissan Sentra, and the Suzuki SX4. With pricing beginning at $19,990 for the three-door model.
Volkswagen Rabbit leads the pack, representing outstanding value, console, security, and driving dynamics. Rabbit is powered by a 2.5 liter 5 cylinder that develops 150 horsepower and 170 lb/ft of torque and can be mated with a typical five-speed manual or an elective six-speed automatic with Tiptronic(TM).

- 2007 Volkswagen Eos won the award for the “BEST NEW CONVERTIBLE” against Audi A4 Cabriolet, Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder, and the Pontiac G6 Convertible.
The new Volkswagen Eos coupe-convertible features an exclusive sunroof-equipped retractable hard top roof design that can be fully raised or lowered in a mere 25 seconds.
The vehicle is powered by a 2.0 liter 200 horsepower engine that can be mated to either a six-speed manual or an elective six-speed DSG dual-clutch automated transmission with Tiptronic(TM). The Volkswagen Eos redefines the standards of a modern convertible.
