2008 Ford Escape Hybrid

The Blue Oval Company will be releasing the new 2008 Ford Escape Hybrid in the summer of 2008. Escape Hybrid should be a popular model and with the experience of other Hybrid cars and SUV’s this one will most likely have a waiting list soon. So, if you have a plan of purchasing one, I suggest you should reserve one now.

The new Escape Hybrid will offer improved acceleration which Ford claims will feel like a V6 using it’s I4 engine. It also offers improved fuel economy and an increased range of driving of 400 to 500 miles per tank.

One of the few things that I like about the new Escape Hybrid is its reduced emissions. The 2008 Escape Hybrid meets strict SULEV and Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle Standards. The Hybrid Electric Vehicle combines a chemically fueled internal combustion engine. The new engine offers a shutoff at idle which eradicates fuel waste when engine is not needed and a regenerative braking system, this system will use an electric motor or alternator to divert gas engine power from the wheels to recharge the battery when running in steady speed cruising.

2008 Ford Escape Hybrid engine is an internal combustion engine that charges the battery through the electric motor or through a generator, the gas engine does not directly drive the vehicle and the regenerative breaking is used to supplement battery charging. The Split Hybrid combines the benefits of both the Escape Hybrid and parallel systems through the use of a planetary gear set. A Parallel Hybrid is both gas and electric, motors are linked to the drive train and an internal combustion engine can be downsized because of an electric motor which augments performance.

The new 2008 Ford Escape Hybrid SUV electric promises to be a big seller due to the improvements in the Hybrid engine.

A great gas and environment saver!
