To the vast majority of the car driving public car value depreciation is a minor annoyance, rather than some kind of huge investment affecting decision. The general pattern of practice for the average guys out there is; buy a car, drive it until it stops working, scrap it and buy a new one. This pattern is repeated once every 10 years or so until the Government prevents you from driving do to your advanced years. This is primarily because the vast majority of us don’t buy prestige cars, where a car can fall in value by up to 50% the very second it has been driven away from the dealership for the first time!

This is an incredible statistic, but let me give you an example of some of the kind of figures we are dealing with here: a brand Ferrari 599 would cost somewhere in the region of £200,000 ($324,000 approximately). A little research shows that within a year the value of this car will have plummeted to £150,000 ($243,000). You wouldn't expect your average Ford Focus to suffer such a crash in value, so why does this occur with high-performance prestige cars like Ferrari models.

Put simply the dealers reduce the price massively because they know these cars are going to be very hard to sell. Generally speaking, if you have got enough money to buy a Ferrari, you are quite unlikely to want one that someone else has pushed to the limit on the motorways and country lanes are you? You are likely to want a pristine model complete with new car smell.

If you are in any doubt as to the validity of my claims, feel free to check out the Used Ferrari market, but please beware if you are considering buying a new Ferrari, in less than a year it will be worth nowhere near the amount you originally paid for it.

Before we start, let’s define the term ’super exotic sports cars’. Sports cars, by definition are borderline racing cars; boasting powerful performance and sleek looks. Their prestige makes them expensive, and thus the domain of a select few. With reference to sports cars, the term “exotic” refers to vehicles produced in very limited numbers. This of course increases their exclusivity and by virtue of this, their value. Exotic sports cars will, in all likelihood, be built by smaller manufacturers or perhaps the super high-end vehicles will be created by some of the better-known car companies outside of the United States, as exclusive models.

Many exotic sports cars are the stuff of legend. The world’s fastest car, the McLaren F1, for instance is a well-known exotic. Although only around one hundred F1s were produced and the manufacturer is not a household name (outside of the Grand Prix circuits of course), the McLarens are coveted sports cars. All exotic sports cars are highly sought after and, as status symbols, are second to none in the sports car world.

But, assuming that you can afford it, is an exotic sports car for you?

It is easy to be seduced by the allure of owning an exotic sports car. Owning one can be very tempting. Amongst the purists, the cars themselves are often considered the pinnacle of design. Any enthusiast who has the means will tell you that when an opportunity to invest in an exotic sports car presents itself, resistance can be very difficult.

One should try and be objective about the proposition though.

Before making such a major commitment, there are three factors you should consider.

Exotic Sports Cars Are Very Expense

The cost of owning such a prestigious car, does not end when you part with the initial payment. Even if one can afford the initial asking price of an exotic (and not many can), one needs to be aware of the likely ongoing running expenses , which can be significant. The maintenance and repair of an exotic car is certain to be expensive compared to non-exotic vehicles and a buyer should attempt to discover what kind of costs he or she is likely to experience in order to keep the car in running order. There can be no cost cutting on parts for these high end vehicles.

Parts for prestige cars are likely to be in short supply, if they are available at all. The likelihood that the owners of exotic sports cars will need to have some parts custom made during their ownership of the vehicle is quite high. And the cost will be significant. This is especially true of older exotics, many of which will have been orphaned when their original manufacturer stopped making cars. Not only will this prove extremely expensive, one can also expect it to be time consuming as well. And, as time passes, the necessary investment will only become greater.

Your usual mechanic cannot be expected to be able to repair exotic sports cars. You will need specialised mechanics with specialised tools to be able to ensure that appropriate and professional repairs are carried out. Not only will such individuals be, in all probability much more expensive than your usual mechanics, you would be very fortunate if you found one in your town. You should expect to have to do a lot of traveling in order to find suitable mechanical help.

All too often a sports car buff will purchase an exotic, without though to the ongoing costs, and, as a consequence be completely unprepared to handle additional future expenses. A thorough planning of expected costs and the means to meet those costs would certainly be in order.

Reliability Of High End Vehicles

Even though an exotic sports car may represent the ultimate in performance, One cannot assume that it will also be reliable. This will hold particularly true for the older ‘classic’ exotic cars. As with any high performance machine, exotic sports cars can be quite delicate (temperamental) which will, in all probability, require that you, or someone close to you be regularly on hand to make the adjustments to ensure that the vehicle stays in operating order. Exotic sports cars are well known for the spectacular side of their performance when they running well. However, the other side of the coin is that they are notorious for being among the most temperamental of vehicles that one may encounter.

If you plan to run an exotic sports car on a regular basis, you should be prepared for the highs and los of motoring. The sublime feeling of driving a top car with top performance can often be forgotten if the same car stops and refuses to start many miles from any assistance.

The Drivability of Exotic Cars

Most owners of high performance cars will tell you that such vehicles take ’some getting used too’. Optimum performance comes at a price, and will depend very largely on the skill of the driver. So, if you are relatively inexperienced, then please do not expect to get the best out of your car straight away. This in itself could prove too frustrating for many potentials owners. One should also take into account the relative risk of driving a high performance cars whilst still inexperienced.

For those to whom the additional cost of time in learning to drive a prestige car optimally and safely is not an issue, an additional, problem arises in the adjustment of seats and pedals for example. Small things that are irrelevant in normal cars take on much greater significance when applied to exotic sports cars.

When considering the purchase of an exotic sports car, one must look past the romance and excitement of owning a legendary vehicle. There are real concerns and obstacles to be overcome before the full enjoyment and benefit of owning such a car can be achieved.

List of the Top Picks and the Best Super Exotic Sports Cars

Coming up with a list of the best super exotic sports cars is definitely a challenge for me, there are so many exotics that I would love to have parked in my garage but so little time. As a fan of high-end, exotic cars, I can assure you that there isn’t much else that I would rather be writing about. Here are my top picks, or a wish list if you want to call it that…

Ferrari F430 Spider

Ford GT

Porsche Carrera GT

Porsche 993 Cabriolet

Ferrari 355 Spider

Lamborghini Murcielago

These are all wonderful sports cars and hopefully one day, I’ll be able to make the statement that I’ve owned them all. While super exotic sports cars can be rewarding, they do have their downsides as well (and not just the high upfront cost). Things like reliability and maintenance can sometimes be a drag and this certainly needs to be taken into consideration before making your purchase. For me, the payoff is worth the extra troubles but only you can decide that for yourself.

Global warming is one of the major problems that our world is facing right now. And because of this problem, people are getting concern about it. Government in most of the countries are trying to do about it to have a solution to global warming. There are also many groups such as non-government organizations like the Greenpeace are vigilant especially to the destruction of nature and global warming.

As the planet faces the implications of the release of greenhouse gases and people wrestle with a finite supply of gasoline, flexible fuel vehicles are becoming a more popular alternative. This type of vehicle functions using a blend of gasoline and something else entirely. They are designed to stretch the use of gasoline and improve mileage.

A true flexible fuel vehicle has an engine that can operate using multiple types of fuel. Gasoline is generally one of the component fuels a flexible fuel vehicle can consume. This type of engine design will typically use a single tank to hold blended fuel, which is then burned in a combustion chamber to provide energy for vehicle operation. This type of vehicle is becoming popular in North America and Europe.

Ethanol, or E85, is one of the more popular types of fuel for flexible fuel vehicles. Made primarily from corn, ethanol is considered a renewable source of energy. When a well-made flexible fuel vehicle is used, mileage will technically go down with ethanol use because this fuel is simply not able to provide the energy that gasoline can. Still, performance will remain high with the use of E85.

There are a number of different engines already on the road and under development that use alternative energy sources. The other power options, that may or may not be used in conjunction with gasoline, include:

Battery power – This type of flexible fuel vehicle uses electricity via battery power to make a vehicle function. Cars of this nature may operate solely on batteries or be hybrid in nature. This means they augment traditional fuel usage with a battery. The downfall for this type of flexible fuel vehicle to date has been a lack of capacity and efficiency.

Air – Compressed air is a source of power that is considered emission-free. No major auto manufacturers have jumped on this idea to date.

Solar – Taking the sun’s energy and transforming it into a usable “fuel” is an idea that has been around for a while. Solar power is popular in hybrid form, but as a sole source of energy this type of vehicle has yet to take off. Strictly solar powered cars are limited in their abilities at this time because it is difficult to gain enough UV energy and store it for longer distance drives.

Compressed Natural Gas – This type of flexible fuel vehicle operates using methane or another type of combustible fuel. CNG cars are used in Italy and a few other countries with good results so far. It is estimated, in fact, that there are some 7 million of these vehicles on the roads worldwide today.

True flexible fuel vehicles have become very popular in the last few years. It is estimated that some 8 million of these vehicles are used in America today. Another 7 million are on the roads of Brazil. Unfortunately, many of the E85 flex vehicles on the roads today are not used to their full capacity as some owners are unaware of their ability to use ethanol.

What the future will hold for flexible fuel vehicles remains unclear. This option is a viable one for lessening the use of fossil fuel, but it is not likely a final solution to the problem of emissions and a depleting supply of gasoline.

On starting your car, all the warning lights on the dashboard should light as a sign that they are in good working condition. Once the car is on the road however, the lights should not light unless to indicate a warning that something in the car needs your attention. There are several distinct lights on the dashboard. However, some cars will have some added features like seat belt lights. The main ones include brake lights, the anti-lock brake system (ABS) light, the oil pressure light, the engine light, the airbag light and the battery charge light.

The oil pressure light: When this light blinks, it is indicative of low oil pressure, which can result in rapid wear to your car. To make sure that this is the case, use the dipstick to check the oil levels and refill to the required levels. If the oil pressure light still blinks even after this, then you will need to have the oil pump checked. If the oil pump is not working, towing the car to a garage where the pump can be fixed is advisable in order to avoid excessive wears to the car.

ABS light: When this light blinks when you are driving, it can indicate three different things: a faulty ABS, trapped brake caliper or low levels of brake fluid. The light may also mean that the parking brake has been left on. Getting a technician to check the car is the best way to know which among the different causes is behind the constant blink.

Engine light: this light is also called the engine-malfunction light. On most dashboards, the light is labeled ‘Check Engine’. When this light blinks, it is indicative that is a problem with engine functions. Sometimes, this light blinks when other lights indicative of transmission problems are on. When such is the case, dealing with the transmission issue will most likely be the right diagnosis. If the car is not running, as it should, getting a car technician to check the system is advisable.

Battery Charge light: When this light is on, it indicates that the battery is not charging. The condition can be caused by a loose battery plug, which you can fix without necessarily involving a technician. A faulty alternator can also be a cause if battery-charge failure as does a loose slipping belt. To save on power and avoid being stranded, you should turn off electrical devices, such as radio, and heater in the car

Airbag light: This light indicates that the airbag system is faulty, which means that they would fail to activate if an accident occurs. You should drive the car to a shop where technicians can inspect the entire airbag system and fix the problematic area.

Brake Lights: This could indicate that the handbrake is on. If not, you should check the level of the car’s brake fluid. The lights could also indicate faulty braking system. When the braking system is faulty, you should have your car towed since driving with this light on can be quite dangerous.

Cars or automobiles can ru on water as fuel. It has many advantages especially in this turbulent time of recession, many consumers are trying to find ways to save money. With the rising prices of gas, resurrecting the car that runs on water has come to the forefront of many consumers’ consciousness.

In the past, water powered cars were considered merely a rumor, or perhaps a scam run by fraudsters. However, more and more people are convinced that the powers-that-be who run the multi-billion oil industry have suppressed the reality of this phenomenon for the sake of power and politics.

Can cars really run on water? Apparently, they can. Scientists have experimented on the use of electrolysis to separate the hydrogen and oxygen components of H2O to create a byproduct known as HHO, or Brown’s gas. This gas, when fed into a car’s engine, can effectively run a vehicle, and more cleanly and smoothly besides.

A car that runs on water does not run totally on water alone, but with a minimal amount of gasoline to act as a combustion source to ignite the car’s engine. With Brown’s gas fed to the main engine, the car increases its mileage and translates into savings of as much as 50% in gasoline, savings that are badly needed in this time of recession.

Using a car that runs on water is better for the environment, as well. In a typical gasoline or diesel-fueled vehicle, only 25% is used by the car’s engine. The rest is expelled into the atmosphere in the form of residual carbons, noise, and vibration. With water-powered cars, there are no harmful chemical released into the atmosphere, and this effectively halts global warming in its tracks before it becomes too late for the environment to recover.

Converting a gas guzzler into a car that runs on water is a matter of assembling a hydrogen converter system to be installed into the car’s engine. With materials readily available in hardware stores, anyone can convert their vehicle into a hybrid that runs mostly on water. The cost of this conversion? Less than $200, or roughly the cost of the average gasoline consumption in a week.

The hydrogen generator system can easily be attached and detached without damaging the car’s engine or voiding its warranty. Because it relies on water, the system actually prolongs the life of car parts, saving a lot of money that would otherwise be spent on maintenance.

Tips and Guide on How to Clean Automotive Air Filter Properly

Here are the cleaning instructions and guide on cleaning the automotive air filter. To maintain the quality performance of your car or automotive, air filter must be cleaned regularly and also it will prevent building up of dust and clogging the cabin vents. It’s also important to remember how clean the air-filters properly so they won’t be ruined.

First of all, be careful in removing the air filter from the car to not spread the dust buildup in it and to be able to clean it more easily. Place it carefully on the floor, then spray your cleaner on both sides of the filter. The K & N Air Filter Cleaner comes in a kit already so if it’s your first time clean your air filter, you won’t have a problem about what to use and how. After you’ve sprayed both sides with the air filter cleaner, leave it for about 10 minutes so the filter can absorb the cleaner and for it to loosen the dirt on the cleaner. However, don’t let it dry in the cleaner.

After 10 minutes, rinse the cleaner off the automotive air-filter. It’s recommended to use a cool water and a low-pressure one. If you’re using a hose, flush the water from the clean side of the air-filter up and down until all traces of dirt and cleaner are gone. If there are still portions of dirt visible in any part of the filter, you can repeat the process of cleaning.

After rinsing the air filter and making sure there aren’t traces of either cleaner or dirt in it, tap it gently to remove the excess water then let it dry naturally. It’s important to make sure that it’s completely dry before proceeding to the next step. When the filter is already completely dry, it’s time to oil it. Remember to apply the oil only on the dirty side of the filter. The K & N Air Filter Cleaner comes in two containers, the spray bottle and the squeeze bottle. If you’re using the squeeze bottle apply the oil along the crest of the pleats. If you’re using a spray bottle, make sure you spray an equal amount along the pleats of the air filter. Leave it for 20 minutes, and make sure that the color is even on the entire dirty side of the filter.

Before putting back the automotive air-filter, do a last inspection about the color of the filter and if there are any damages present. If everything looks right, follow the installation instructions that came with the kit when you bought your automotive air filter.

Find Cheap Motorcycle Insurance Rates Online

Many people loves to ride a motorcycle especially when the weather is excellent and enjoying the outdoors. Many people want to ride their bike when traveling from one place to another. In the highway, a person will enjoy freedom while riding their bikes. You can enjoy even greater comfort, however, when you and your family know that you are adequately covered with motorcycle insurance.

If you need to have motorcycle insurance, or motorbike insurance, then you will need to do some research online in order to get the low cost deal you want. You can find cheap motorcycle insurance that is worth having only by careful comparison of several motorcycle insurance quotes – which you can easily get online.

You might be wondering why your buddy who also owns a motorcycle has cheaper insurance than you have. Well, you might have forgotten that motorcycle insurance rates differ from one motorcycle owner to the next.

Just because you have the same brand of motorbike, it means that you will be paying the same amount for insurance.

When you purchase insurance, you have to know that there are different factors that determine your motorbike insurance rates. These factors work on different ways compared to standard car insurance. But these influence how low or how high your premiums are.

Read on for you to know the factors that affect your motorbike insurance rates and discover tips on how you can get the best quotes for your motorcycle insurance.

First and foremost, your age is a factor. Motorbike insurance rates affect the age of the driver. The higher insurance rates are for female motorists who are below 21. Male drivers below 25 also have relatively higher motorbike insurance rates.

These limits differ between the different states so you have to check your insurance agent just to be sure. If your age is within the “high risk” zone, you might consider waiting to buy your motorcycle in a couple of years.

If not, you can expect high rates just because of how old you are. It may not seem fair but that is how the cookie crumbles.

Your insurance company will also check your driving record. This is the standard routine because this is one of the most important factors in determining your motorcycle insurance rates.

If you’ve had a good record in the past and have not been involved in any accident, then your motorcycle insurance rates are lower than those who have been in motorcycle accidents.

It is not a known fact but experience in riding motorcycles is considered by insurance companies when calculating the motorcycle insurance rates. If you have bought your first motorcycle, then the chances are you have higher motorcycle insurance rates.

You can compare from one insurance company to the next and see if there are differences. That is why we advise you to shop around.

Location is also another factor on your motorcycle insurance rates. If you live in an area that has high crime or accident rates, your motorcycle insurance rates will be higher compared to let’s say living in an area that has low accident or crime rates.

The insurance premium depends on the risk your motorcycle has, and we have to admit it, it’s understandable.

Want to know how to get the lowest auto insurance rates so you won’t have to spend an arm and a leg getting your car on the road? Here’s how to get the lowest auto insurance rate. In order to get the lowest auto insurance rate you have to do these things.

If you are thinking about getting a new car, are just shopping around to make sure you are getting the very best deal, or have just purchased a brand new vehicle, one of the first things you are probably thinking about is car insurance. Getting a large variety of auto insurance quotes will help you to easily manage your budget so that you can protect your vehicle and save yourself a considerable amount of money, and also will help you compare the services of insurance companies so that you’ll know which policy will work best for you. Here are some of the best places to find auto insurance quotes, as well as some of the things you should be looking for in an insurance policy.

First, you need to decide which type of coverage is going to be best for you. This will tell the price that you’ll pay for your coverage, and learning about different insurance features that make up a policy package can help you to make your final decision. For instance, what could your premium be? Does the policy you are considering cover the cost of repairs if you are in an accident that is not your fault? Part of your insurance bill will most probably cover liability costs, so you should also look for auto insurance quotes that will cover your car depending on what you will use it for. If you are going to be using the car for work purposes only, or will only be driving the vehicle for personal or family use, you will need to know which quotes are best for you depending on how often you will be driving. Auto insurance quotes can also be reduced if you have a good driving record, so you may want to consider taking a defensive course on driving before you purchase an insurance policy so your rates will be lower.

It is also a good idea to make sure that you check with multiple insurance companies before you make your final decision. Compare auto insurance rates or quotes from at least 5 or 6 companies before making a final decision, and be sure to look for insurance discounts so that you and your family can save money. For instance, if you decide to include more than one type of insurance or multiple policies from the same company, your auto insurance will definitely be cheaper. Don’t be afraid to check out the larger or more well known companies like Progressive and Geico for insurance ‘bundle packages’ that you definitely won’t want to miss out on. There are good reasons why the more prominent companies are so well known.

You can also find excellent auto insurance rates and quotes if you shop for the policy before you officially buy the car. While you can purchase a policy soon after the car becomes yours, your premium will be based on the card’s sticker price, so this will most probably be factored into the cost of the car when you are purchasing it from a car lot.
