Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera at Geneva Auto Show 2007
Automobili Lamborghini SpA will exhibit their newest evolution of the Gallardo at the 2007 Geneva Auto Show, the Gallardo Superleggera, a car that was produced for the most demanding purchaser.
They remove about 100 Kg from the innovative Gallardo and installing a new, light weight exhaust system joint with a recently programmed ECU and a new throttle body, the V10 engine pumps out 530 Bhp in the Superleggera compared to 520 Bhp in the ‘normal’ Gallardo, which results in a 0 to 100 Km/h time of only 3.8 seconds, a full 0.2 seconds quicker than the standard Gallardo.
100 Kg weight loss puts the Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera at the pinnacle of the Gallardo model line and boasting a improved weight to power ratio than any of it’s direct competitors on the bazaar today.
Some of parts on the Superleggera have been replaced, the inner door panels are finished in clear Carbon Fiber, just like the central console and the hand brake lever to name but a few. Seats are no longer electrically adaptable and receive a devoted stitching of their alcantara upholstery while the famous e-Gear is standard. The manual gearbox is obtainable as a ‘no cost’ choice.
The Superleggera engine cover has been replaced by an apparent Carbon Fiber unit featuring a light weight Polycarbonate see-through section, windscreen has been made thinner to further diminish heaviness, the exterior rear view mirrors are also finished in Carbon Fiber and the rear bumper now also features a clear Carbon Fiber.
Gallardo Superleggera’s rear wing is also finished in Carbon Fiber to keep in line with the rest of the dedicated options on this innovative Superleggera that will be built in more restricted numbers compared to the usual Gallardo.
